Milk Flud usually has his GP song ready to go well ahead of time. But this year, drenched in the ambiance of Christmas in NYC, MNE's producer laureate called an audible (pun intended) and switched out his track for something he wrote in a last minute flurry of inspo. "Very unlike me" he said. This track is Special, not because it sounds like MF's toe-dip into his KID A, or the new height of his fast bmp w/ ambient vocals phase, but because of the commitment to valuing process over product. He chose to submit the song soaked in last minute passion rather than the conventional back pocket bar of gold. It's decisions like that that keep me inspired and the mythical GP audience on their toes.
